SOAR is composed of 18 undulating stainless steel window screens for the elevated subway platform of the 80th Street A train station in Queens, NY, fabricated by Polich Tallix and commissioned by New York’s MTA Arts for Transit program. It evokes the nearby ocean and sky above while adding some sparkle to the Ozone Park neighborhood, both inside the station and from the street.
